He is saying that if players are being accused or face speculation of PED use, he is at least going to wait. He isn't saying he observed things. You made that up.

And unless he overheard a confession or saw some evidence that the public doesn't know about, he's still punishing these guys based on speculation. Why is it so hard for you to understand that I'm not saying my speculation is better than his? I'm saying he shouldn't be basing his vote on unfounded accusations and speculation that isn't backed by actual evidence. He's making guesses. Even if they are educated ones, that isn't enough to warrant punishing these players who belong in the Hall of Fame.

If you could stop the personal attacks and actually read, you might finally get it.

Not much of a surprise that somebody who doesn't understand my argument against punishing potential Hall of Famers based on speculation rather than insisting on having actual evidence would continue to show such a blatant disregard for facts.

So you had to do this instead of just asking about Braun as an example? Yes, of course you did.

I'm not going to get into that argument again. Let's just say it would be far more understandable than keeping out guys whose only crime is being accused, which is what Dick is suggesting and apparently what Joe is doing. If Braun gets to that point, which I think he will, I would disagree with keeping him out, but I wouldn't say it was unreasonable.

 

Maybe some of these players should have spoken up about performance enhancement while they were still playing.
