I still think the ones who do this should have to publicly explain leaving the absolute locks off their ballots. Make them either lie or admit to their bullshit.

Murray Chass says he is voting for Morris only, and if Morris gets in he will never vote again. Or vote Morris next winter in his last year and never vote again.

Jorge Erbo is a first-time voter. He returned it blank, putting that number I believe at three.

Buried in that column, Tom Kelly on the brilliance of Tom Kelly:

Coincidentally, Kelly had watched a replay of the 10-inning 1-0 Game 7 earlier in the day. “It was snowing and I sat there and flipped the channels,” he said. The game naturally brought back memories.

“I remember saying to myself in the dugout I gotta find a way to get a run,” Kelly recalled. “I was starting to get concerned that I couldn’t help the boys get a run.”

Good thing he told Dan Gladden to get a bloop double in the 10th.

Well, I wasn't going to go that far in criticizing Chass, but go for it. :D

(And yes, I'm kidding. TP the stalker doesn't deserve a serious response.)

somebody disagrees with you, and they are a stalker ... because obviously, somebody who thinks you're full of shit has to have something wrong with their mind. man, you're fucked up, champ. you really are fucked up.

and really, your superiority complex is perplexing. you are a nobody and always will be. nobody gives two shits about your HOF standards.

No, YOU are a stalker, TP. Not anybody who disagrees with me. You.

And try being honest for once. You didn't disagree. You came in here with another lame attack on me. If all you did was disagree, I wouldn't have called you out for the stalking you've been doing.

I said a totally clean MLB. Bonds doesn't use PEDs Clemens doesn't use PEDs and no one else uses them. If 90% of players were using, the answer is completely different than if 10% were using.

That's the part that seems too complicated. Bonds was using. How many of the pitchers he faced were using? If everyone were clean, would he have hit 258 homers? 200? 7? Enough to still get him in the Hall of Fame?

i think a reasonable person would suggest that he would have come up with quite a few less than 150. and as you said, WTF knows? we have no idea. but the one thing we do know is it really doesn't matter because he would have gotten into the HOF with one more HR than 499.
