That alone should be enough to invalidate the voting process.

I'd love to hear how people justify voting for Clemens and Bonds, but not Sosa and McGwire.

Because Clemens and Bonds were superior players.

I could understand Clemens having more votes because the evidence is slightly greater against Bonds than Clemens.

I can't understand Bonds having more votes.

Yes, but McGwire and Sosa are, other than PEDs, slam-dunk Hall of Famers, as well. No-doubters.

The sliding scale being applied is utterly baffling.

This is part of the argument by voters who are ignoring PED use and accusations entirely. It just gets far too murky and there is too much guesswork.

Exactly. I can see that. But voting for Bonds and not Clemens -- or the other way around -- is a little strange. And a lot stupid.

See my last post. It is ridiculous, but there is this belief that Bonds and Clemens were Hall of Famers without PED use and McGwire and Sosa were not.

If no one gets it, I think the Hall will definitely drop the 10-player per ballot rule.

And if Biggio doesn't get in, it's probably going to be an eight-year gap between first-ballot position players -- Henderson to Griffey. I have no faith Thomas will be elected next year and Sheffield is the top position guy in 2015.

Yeah, I guess that would be the argument. A lot of doctors voting, I guess.

That's OK. It happens. Sometimes red comes up on the roulette wheel 10 times in a row, as well. It's a blip.
