That's actually a funny idea.

 

From steriods to being gay, Piazza's career was hit hard by accusations.

 

I hereby vote Piazza into the SportsJournalists.com HOF just because of that Wallace Mathews column that brought half our membership here 10 years ago.

That is one of the things that makes this year's vote so annoying. Glavine, Maddux and Frank Thomas should all get in easily, though that would raise the question of why voters assume Thomas was clean while guessing the worst of Bagwell and Piazza without real evidence.

It's easier to see why they will assume Maddux and Glavine are clean. Because people still have this foolish notion that they can always spot a steroid user by the way they are built. Sometimes it looks pretty obvious, but not always.

 

And that really goes for you. You seem have a personal problem with me. I'm sure others around here don't give a damn about what issues you have and if the problems are THAT BIG, send me a PM and don't cowardly block my sending you a reply.
