Someone asked me does Biggio get in before Palmeiro?

I've heard plenty of people say they don't see Palmeiro ever getting in. It certainly looks like Biggio would get in first.

Palmerio will be lucky to stay on the ballot next time. He's 20 votes from dipping under five percent and I'd imagine those voting for him will have to bump him for the crop of newcomers

I think this will be the upcoming expansion committee's ballot. For those who want alternative's should the BBWAA decide only to go with Maddux, maybe Glavine.

    Tony La Russa
    Joe Torre
    Bobby Cox
    Marvin Miller
    Dave Concepcion
    Bobby Grich
    Tommy John
    Vida Blue
    Graig Nettles
    Dwight Evans
    Keith Hernandez
    Dave Parker

Of all the guys in the steroids era who is taking the biggest hit, it's him. You could also say it was collusion that no one signed Bonds who definitely had another year maybe two left in him and would've hit the 3,000-hit mark.

The first four people listed merit induction. None of the players listed do.

Bonds' muscles were tearing every time he sneezed. He was done. Even if he wasn't, he was surely asking too much as a 42-43-year-old.

I don't think they do either, but I think that's the best of a new crop to vote on. Morris, should he not get in next year, and Dale Murphy will be eligible for the 2016 ballot. Murphy missed this year by a year based on the voting rules -- 21 years from the end of a career.

I'd vote for Grich, but that's about it.

    If I had to guess

2014 -- Maddux, Glavine, Biggio. Vet Committee: Torre, La Russa, Cox
2015 -- Johnson, Martinez, Thomas, Piazza. Vet Committee: No one
2016 -- Griffey, Bagwell, Raines. Vet Committee: Bill Dahlen.
2017 -- Bonds, Clemens, Smoltz. Vet Committee: Miller, Murphy, Morris
2018 -- Chipper, Ivan Rodriguez, Hoffman. Vet Committee: Hodges

Edgar Martinez is no shoo-in to get in ever, let alone that soon. And why are we assuming that the current incarnations of the veterans committees will be letting the floodgates open all of a sudden?
