Hey, at least it looked like a real pie instead of a towel full of shaving cream.

On a separate thought, either the A's or TBS better pay for David Aldridge's suit dry-cleaning. The guy's a reporter and shouldn't be subject to that simply for doing his job.

You wanna douse your teammate with a bucket? Just wait till he's done with the interview. Fucking stupid shit like that pisses me off.

It's funny. People like it. The fans in the stadium go crazy.

And I think TBS will probably kick in for the suit. Aldridge was laughing harder than anyone.

David Aldridge has confirmed that Bill Parcells once got a gatorade shower. (That's still a thing on this board isn't it?)

There's another off day after Game 4, so they could bring back Greinke for Game 5 on regular rest. He pitched Friday and Game 5 would be Wednesday, so that's 4 days of rest.

Managers are too risk averse to try it consistently, but if bringing back your starter on short rest while down 2-1 hurts you more in Game 5 than it helps you in Game 4, it's wrong, even though you are risking no game 5 at all. You have to win them both regardless.

I didn't know the extra day off regarding Greinke. Thought schedule was still crammed in with no travel day. If Greinke can stay on normal rest, then yeah, going with Kershaw would be worth examining.

But he'd still be going on three days' rest for what I think would be the first time ever, and after he threw 124 pitches -- the second-highest total of his career -- his last time out.

Also of note, Nolasco's ERA in LA is 2.48. I'd still go that route.

In the matter of Ruth v. Beltran, the Pittsburgh Pirates vote Beltran.

Lefties hit .118 (8 for 68) vs Kevin Siegrist this year. So naturally, he gives up the game-winning hit to Pedro Alvarez, who has hit .180 vs lefties in his career.

Pittsburgh might have the magic this year the way SF did in their two runs. Good for them.

Ryu is losing a game and maybe knocking the Dodgers out of the playoffs all by himself. Mattingly is making the fundamental managerial error. Here's a pitcher who doesn't have it, and he's leaving him in at least three batters too long.

He got the DP but he's done. He's not fooling anyone -- Braves have like 50 foul balls so far.

Go to the pen to start the 4th.
