Looks like we have a Jeffrey Maier situation in Detroit. They're going to the video now.

I think Reddick would have caught it.

 

And they call it a home run.

That's bullshit.

 

Clearly fan interference. What are the replay rules? Indisputable like in football? You can't assume an out? The fan gets to come a certain amount out into the field of play? What?

 

Why can't people just put a gap between the fence and the seats? Is it that hard?

 

Seems like a catch fence (like they have at Wrigley) wouldn't be too hard to install.

 

Scherzer escapes a bases-loaded no out jam in the eighth, thanks to Reddick swinging at Ball Four. And it's Bartolo Colon vs. Verlander in Game 5, so good luck Oakland.

 

A's have the option of going with Sonny Gray again on full rest.

But yeah, they do not handle Verlander well. His career ERA against them is 2.48, his lowest against any AL opponent, and in the last two postseasons he has given them one run in 23 innings.

 

This postseason has been fun so far.

 

No way in hell Reddick would have caught that.
