    Bullshit, you don't yank guys after throwing 3 pitches (2 of them strikes) and then the next guy after throwing 5.

    The more pitchers you run out of the bullpen on the merry-go-round, the better the odds you are going to find the guy who is throwing pus-balls.

    I figure if you're the SE at the Globe, do you hope the baseball game goes past the first press run so you don't have to choose between the Pats and the Sox.
    I'm guessing Sox on A1, Pats on Sports front?

    You don't manage these games like you would manage in June.

    well on the bright side, now after Verlander pitches a no-hitter on Tuesday, we won't have to hear about "The Red Sox came back from 3-0 down in 2004" until the final out of game 4.
