I wonder if MLB will quietly investigate his sudden death? We'll probably never know, but it wouldn't surprise me.

Geez, that sucks. He was 48, which means he had open-heart surgery at 34. I'm going to have to guess heart disease ran in his genes.

    I'm okay with.

How does everyone else feel about Beltran, who everybody seems to love, going half-ass after that same triple?

He runs a little and Puig is out.

It's over in LA. While Greinke or Kershaw couldn't win, Ryu does. And probables for tomorrow are Nolasco vs. Lynn.

Yeah, but the Dodgers have hinted at pitching Greinke on short rest, which is what I suspect they'll do.

Grienke in Gm. 1 looked like the most dominant pitcher in the MLB; his 85 mph curve (a true Hammer) recalled visions of Gooden in 1985.

I'd hate to put my marbles on Ricky Nolasco though.

As for pitching staffs, the Bosox are going with Lackey in Gm. 3; really? What's the deal with Peavy? He's had at least 4 days rest, he's got to be better than Lackey. Damn, its not 2002; Lackey (shakes head side to side), damn.

Aside from Buchholz --- who only made 16 starts --- Lackey was Boston's best starting pitcher this season.

    2013 ERA: Lackey 3.52, Peavy 4.17

I think it's the degree to which he pimped it. That was an epic bat flip. You'd have thought he hit it 450 feet.

Maybe the argument is Lofton or Goodwin couldn't hit the ball that far?

TBS hasn't had a great postseason. Bad replay angles, bad announcers, bad cameramen, the constant reference to "shutdown innings." I'd add this to the long list of things I hope they do better with next postseason.
