There's still some life in the Dodgers. That hit up the middle by Puig sure looked like a double play off the bat.

One camera angle showed that Puig hit it better than it looked from the center field camera, it got out of the infield pretty quick.

Schumaker, DP, really? That's the best you got?

Yeah, I'm not denying it got there quickly. Descalso was shaded toward the hole, too.

You're not serious, right? Even if he's running full-steam out of the box — and let's not confuse the guy for Usain Bolt here; he's fast but he's not that fast — he gets thrown out by 10 feet if he actually had tried to score.

Did you hear the way Ernie Johnson got excited on that Cardinals home run? What a clown. Probably Jack Buck's bastard son.

You just can't get picked off second in a playoff game with your team down two runs in the seventh. That's as bad as it gets.

Further proof that not all bad white players are scrappy.

Oh, he was scrappy alright. Just without the "s."

Cards up 3-1 in the series. I wonder if last year's gag job against the Giants has any effect this year. Of course, the Dodgers' three stud pitchers they're going to use will have more to do with it than 2012. And not one of them is as shitty as Barry Zito, who pitched the game of his postseason life in defeating the Cards last season.

Dodgers might be without Ramirez for the remainder.

    Should be ... interesting.

One of the weirdest stats I can remember seeing:

The Cardinals have held 3-1 leads in the NLCS twice in their history. And they lost both series: 1996 to the Braves and 2012 to the Giants. Worse, they got outscored a cumulative 52-2(!) in those six games.

I think that might be moot as of tomorrow. But still.
