What did Victorino say? I couldn't watch the game last night.

As I've said about Victorino, it's no surprise he's played well this year. He was well-rested after the two months he slept through with the Dodgers.

I like Victorino quite a bit. He's hyper on the field and talks a lot. So what? What was his great offense?

How 'bout he puts his fucking elbow over the plate every time he steps up to bat.

So every player who has ever leaned over the plate is a douche? Got it.

There are many, many more examples like it. He's a dirty player and an asshole.

Nothing wrong with him that a 90-mph sidearm relay throw from the SS right between the eyes wouldn't fix.

Please define in what way whatsoever that is ironic. Or interesting.

Shane is a genuinely friendly, outgoing and courteous guy. Teammates have always loved the guy and I've never heard another player accuse him of playing dirty. In fact, he seems like a pretty popular guy throughout the game, so sorry if I don't take some blogger's word for it.

Being that Victorino was a key cog on a team considered to be in one of the most miserable sports cities I'd think we would have heard something about his dirtiness or assholeishness by now. When he left Philadelphia he paid for a full-page ad in the Inquirer and a billboard thanking the fans. Not exactly a Dave Kingman-ish move.
