Feeling good about this statement right about now ...

    Yeah, just got home.

Was wondering if it would still be going on, and I find it's only in the 7th inning.

Scherzer now knows how Curt Schilling felt in the 1993 NLCS after Mitch Williams repeatedly blew leads, the difference being that the Phillies won that series.

Why oh why was Veras the reliever chosen and not, say, Benoit, the best reliever the Tigers have?

Can't the Tigers put out an APB for Jose Mesa? I'm sure he still has a few matches left to toss around.

I knew this post was coming.

Not to say he would've necessarily gotten out of the mess. I just like his odds better than Veras's at that point.

First time since 1999 and only second time in wild-card era that NL team with best record will face AL team with best record in the World Series (1995 was the other).

It's a little sad that Erin Andrews has to look at her cheat sheet to identify the Red Sox front office.

Yeah, I set up my DVR to record it, added on the allowable half-hour and got home to find out I couldn't even see the pivotal inning.

Fell asleep on the sofa during four of six games in this series. Geology works faster than Buchholz does.

Start enforcing the 12-second rule. An NBA-style clock on the scoreboard.

Pitchers should get two unsuccessful pickoff attempts per baserunner. After that, they count as balls.
