The bottom of this Red Sox lineup hasn't been very good the past few series. They need to start getting production from this part of the order, especially as the series shifts to the NL.

Ortiz has actually performed slightly worse in the clutch in his career. Confirmation bias.

Tell it to the 2004 world champion New York Yankees.

I love the reaction to the word "clutch." It gets people worked up almost as much as Tebow.

I tend to disavow the "clutch" gene as well, but if you consider he's facing markedly better pitching in the postseason, that probably negates any difference.

I'm soooo worked up. I'm like shaking right now.

But that's mostly from the Cardinals being in the World Series

Joe Buck showing how in tune he is by mentioning Pearl Jam's "new" song Animal, which was on the 1993 album Vs.

    Now we have a series.

Says here Peavy vs. Kelly won't be a 1-0 victory for either team. More likely a 7-6 final score.

The Sox are in a bind if Buchholz is done up and his arm falls off in Game 4. Of course, Lynn could melt down, too, as he did for most of the second half this season.

It's going to be an interesting, entertaining weekend.

Any insight into why the Cardinals have chosen to go with Lynn over Shelby Miller. You could make the argument Miller should even be their no. 3 guy.

I wonder if it's an innings limit. They have him on the roster but haven't even gone to him out of the bullpen as a long man yet. Strange.

If that were the case he wouldn't be on the WS roster.
