He has had stretches like this before. Don't worry. He'll start getting blown up soon enough. He always does.

Yeah. It's, what, 10 innings at this point? Anyone can have 10 good innings.

He's always had some Ks. I'm pretty sure he didn't just magically learn to stop walking people in his mid-30s.

If Nick Punto can reinvent himself. I've been told that what a player does in the past doesn't really matter.

Strikeouts aren't killing the Astros. The total lack of MLB-level talent is killing the astros.

Fine. Strikeouts are killing the Braves then.

So many conflicting opinions. Hard to know who to believe.

    Code:
    ATL 22 18 --
    WSN 21 19 1.0
    PHI 19 22 3.5
    NYM 14 23 6.5
    MIA 11 29 11.0

This won't help the Braves: Another Tommy John for Jonny Venters.

Cool. Atlanta is 10-16 over its last 26 thanks in large part to the elevated strikeout total.

So they weren't striking out when they were 12-1? Cool.

They were, and it caught up to them. Eventually, Gattis and Upton homering beyond their normal rate stopped happening and the team flatlined as a result.

What the hell is wrong with Matt Cain this season? His strikeout rate is pretty good, but he's getting lit up repeatedly.

Yu Darvish is a good man and a better person tonight.
