Giants lose Vogelsong 4-6 weeks with fractured hand.

Is the international walk like the international tiebreaker in softball? :)

Hard to imagine that will hurt them. He's been as consistently bad as any pitcher in baseball.

It is said Braves fans come and pay their respects.

And Riptide, he is in the bobblehead Hall of Fame, so that's cool:

Do they have one of Lonnie Smith stumbling along?

Nah, I think the international walk is when you get 5 balls or something.

And the Dodgers have only 5 more wins than the Marlins.

We can always measure pitching wins with Stableford scoring.

I believe there is a 'Knoblauch Deception' bobblehead on the drawing board, yes.

I want to see one of Vince Coleman getting steamrolled by the tarp machine. Bobble-leg?

True dat. The only problem is they have nobody, on the roster or in the system, who can be that credible "sixth starter." The top minor league candidate has a 4.72 ERA in Fresno. It looks for now like Chad Gaudin slides into the rotation and they shore up his spot in the bullpen.

Maybe the month off helps Vogelsong's arm, because he has been getting pretty lucky to get any outs at all. They're just kind of waiting for guys to hit balls right at defenders. More likely he just caught lightning in a bottle for two years and got the All-Star nod, World Series ring and a nice redemption story after a well-traveled career of disappointment.
