Two things i'll never get about baseball:
    1. A player spends three weeks out of the lineup with an injury, comes back for three games and needs a day off? Okay.
    2. Why, if a pitcher is all over the place to five straight hitters four of whom went to 3-2 counts, would you ever even think about swinging at the first pitch?

Because he's erratic and bent on getting ahead in the count, so you take that gamble and swing for the fence if he throws a perfect first-pitch fastball.

Someone else can probably answer this better, but I thought it was the player can get drafted out of high school, but if they chose to go to college, then they can't be drafted again until their junior year. Correct?

That's correct if they go to a four-year college. Players can go the juco route and keep their draft eligibility. Lots of talent at the junior college level for this reason.

    ... 19-1.

    McLouth with the walk-off homer.

First 2 Orioles runs were solo shots by ... ex-Yankee Chris Dickerson.

Brewers made outs on first, second and third in the last half inning. I can't recall seeing that before.

The way Dodger Stadium has gone downhill, I'd have guessed that was "after the third inning."

Gattis is a monster. 2-out PH homer off Perkins to tie it in 9th.

Are we sure that isn't Comiskey Park?
