Indians and Tigers tied at 1 in the sixth. Corey Kluber throws a 91-mph slider down and away to Cabrera, who promptly hits it on a line over the centerfield fence. It wasn't a great pitch, but this is getting ridiculous. Sunday, he hits a 97-mph inside fastball 420 feet to centerfield, he hits a changeup over the plate 450 feet to right-centerfield, and hits a 94-mph inside fastball on such a line that the pitcher ducks on a ball that clears the CF fence. And that's just his last two games.

How many guys have ever won a Triple Crown and then been significantly better the next season?

Mike Trout became the youngest player in AL history to hit for the cycle tonight.

Sure would be nice if Mike Rizzo admitted he fucked up with the whole Yunesky Maya thing and cut that dipshit loose.

Not sure if it's been discussed here at all, but how bout that Matt Kemp? Such a generous soul. He's donating $1,000 to the tornado victims in his home state for every HR he hits before the All Star Break.

He makes like $20 million a year. He'll donate no more than $10,000 with this venture.

    What a guy!

Shit, the way he's playing he'll be donating 2-grand.

How many players are donating nothing?

Are donations like this tax deductible?

A lot. And that's fair. Glad he's donating, for sure. Wish more would, including myself. However, if you're going to make it public that you are donating -- to your home state no less -- and you donate about 0.0005 percent of your $20 million salary? Yeah, that's not a good look.

Meh. I can understand criticizing him for going out of his way to make it public, but the amount doesn't bother me that much. Not when he could have simply done nothing.

It doesn't necessarily bother me. Like I said, good on him for donating at all. We all should. I just think it's a bad look to be making that much money, then go out of your way to make it known that you're donating, then give what amounts to pennies. That's all.

I'm actually surprised he's donating so little. He seems like a good dude who goes out of his way to help others, whether it's donating to charity or simply giving a kid the shirt off his back, which he did a week or two ago.

Trust me, I'm not blasting him. I just think it looks a little strange; both the method he's using to determine his donation and the amount.
