First since Kerry Robinson for the Cardinals in 2002-03. Only 13 players have ever worn it:

Thanks. Knew there was a spot on Baseball Reference I could find it, but couldn't figure it out.
And I was right about one thing. Six of those other 12 have worn it since McDowell did.

Just a sign of how bad things are going for Matt Kemp, the Cards intentionally walked Adrian Gonzalez to get to him.

And he promptly strikes out. I wish he would get mad at himself once in a while, like when he strikes out like that break a bat or throw his helmet in anger. He looks a little too nonchalant about things.

Classic. It's the Japanese version of "Baseball been berry, berry good to me."

That was awesome. What a fantastic guy, and I hope the Jays can keep him around once Jose Reyes is ready to return.

Umpires continue to make news for ineptitude. The whole four-game Angels-Royals series was a joke, one obviously missed call after another.
When personnel from both sides are getting ejected, it's a sign the umps have lost control.

I'll see you and raise Saturday's Rockies-Giants game. Two clearly blown calls, lost in the shuffle of Pagan's walkoff inside-the-parker.

Brett Lawrie's sister went off on Twitter on Friday night after he got the heave-ho against the Orioles. She's about as intense as he is.

How baseball should be more like hockey, according to Dusty Baker -- let 'em fight. Specifically he wants Johnny Cueto in the octagon with Matt Garza.

This would be a more efficient way of ruining the pitcher's arm than the water torture of 140 pitches at a time.

It would be nice to see Cueto get his ass kicked on national TV.

I'll settle for watching Dusty destroy his arm.
