He's too good for KC. I always thought Ned did his best work in Milwaukee.

For some reason Vin Scully has been making me laugh more than usual tonight. The line he just used about Jered Weaver being pulled after 86 pitches "that's the cutoff number as the bartenders use to say. That's what my grandfather used to tell me, well, anyway...." was pretty good.

On another note, I have zero confidence that Matt Kemp is gonna break out of this slump any time soon. He looks awful at the plate. Swinging at everything, reaching for bad pitches and his timing is way off.

One of my favorite parts of Giants games is watching the idiot fan along the third-base line do the Walk Of Shame after he is ejected for interfering with a ball in play. A laugh every time, and there are a lot of them.

I would agree that he'll never be his 2011, 8.6 WAR self. That was an outlier.

But come on. He won't continue to OPS .650. I fully expect that number to escalate to around the .800 he's accustomed to before the end of the season.

Seems like there's been more this season. Even bullpen Mark Gardner gave the fans some grief before the gendarmes arrived.

Come to think of it, the fans' fielding may be slightly better than that of the Giants the last week or so.

Based on what? You got an argument there, or are you just throwing around numbers to make yourself look less dumb?

And OPS is not a verb.

I don't give a shit about WAR and OPS.

OPS is perhaps the most important offensive stat. And I base the opinion that he'll rebound on the fact that A) It's still only late May and B) He's never OPS'd worse than .737, which was the number he put up in his rookie season.

Didn't Kemp leave last night's game with a hamstring injury? If his is anything like Werth's annoying hamstring, he could be out a while.

What stats do you care about Bodie?

You also don't care about past production so what stats would you use to help predict future performance?

Saying what Kemp did in 2011 doesn't tell me what he is doing now. I don't care what he did in 2011 because it's not 2011.

Past performances are often highly indicative of future performance. There are some exceptions (Lincecum), but for the most part using the past is highly useful.

Instead, you're essentially calling him a bum and wondering when the Dodgers will send him to Triple-A after 190 at-bats.
