Happy to see the Tigers bullpen choke one away today in the 9th in Minnesota. Hope it's just the first of many to come this season. Hi Hank! :)

Boras is just waiting for that call from Dombrowski about Valverde's availability.

Mark Reynolds would be the ultimate beer league softball player. He took a fastball eye-high and stuck it into the second deck in left center at Rogers Center.

Be nice if Kemp started to contribute.

Dodgers look like shit so far. Can't hit worth a damn.

Only two guys in the lineup who a pitcher should even be afraid of (Kemp, Gonzalez).

Regardless of this opening series, the season has disappointment written all over it. The #FireMattingly hashtag will grace many feeds this summer.

The Dodgers have finally realized their goal of being the West Coast Yankees.

As a Giants fan I liked the way the last two nights went. But aren't you a little quick to bury the Dodgers?

There are four guys in this lineup that probably shouldn't be playing every day. Whoever plays 3B, 2B, C and SS (until Ramirez comes back). Uribe is just awful, Cruz can't hit, Mark Ellis is a decent guy when others are hitting. I don't think AJ Ellis is meant to be an everyday catcher.

Nats become the 13th team in MLB history to start the season with back-to-back shutouts. The 1963 Cardinals are the only team to do it the first three games of a season.

Today: Jordan Zimmerman vs. some guy named Wade LeBlanc.

Safe to say those eight runs on Opening Day were the Astros' lot for the week. Actually got that game on TV, and at no point did they look even remotely capable of scoring.

Incidentally, it was the Astros' broadcast. I wasn't watching with both eyes and ears, but I didn't hear much advanced stat talk. I mean, other than the advancing strikeout totals. Justin Maxwell struck out on three pitches to end it, and if he was still batting now, he wouldn't have made contact.

Plenty of busted ankles here in Toronto with people tumbling off the Jays' bandwagon. They should add Geddy Lee to the bullpen.
