Except for the fact that Heyward is hitting .142 so far this year, had already gone 0 for 3 with three strikeouts on the night, would have been a lefty facing a lefty pitcher whom he had never faced before, and that Johnson, a righty, had doubled off Abad in his only previous career at-bat against him and Abad has allowed a .257 batting average against lefties in his career and .309 against righties.

Oh, and the move worked with Johnson getting another hit.

Heyward could have hit the ball out of the park.

The truly unbelievable acts of stupidity occur every time NDJournalist clicks "post."

If you believe Reed Johnson is on the same level in hitting ability as Jason Heyward, I don't know what to tell you.

You didn't even hit that one out of the batter's box, Herpes.

Good point. I'm almost wondering if money's changing hands. It would not surprise me to find out someday that an umpire was betting on baseball games. That would be MLB's biggest nightmare if that ever came true.

Nobody said that, but given how much you seem to enjoy being wrong, keep clinging to that foolishness.

Heyward: 2 homers in 125 plate appearances
Johnson: 1 homer in 62 plate appearances

And now a quick-thumbed ump, this time in St. Louis? Molina called out on bang-bang play at first (and great stop by Crawford). Slams helmet to ground and is ejected immediately. Metheney comes out to argue and also is tossed quickly.

Weren't you the one claiming, just a page ago, that teams need to hire more managers who use statistical analysis?
Fredi Gonzalez clearly did that in this case, so ... you know what? It's easier just to call you an idiot.
