That's why it's dumb. It's not done for patriotism, it's so people will see the hat and go spend money.

Oh Donnie doesn't know Baseball, if only you'd have sacrificed Puig over before Gonzalez hit that home run, it'd be 2-0 now, but nope, you got a GIDP and a 1-0 lead.

Hey man. Getting the runner over in the first inning is the ONLY way to play baseball. Outs are not important. Save all your crap about what has happened in the past 100 years, we're only talking about this year.

You bring it on yourself. To suggest a team should sacrifice in the first inning is ridiculous. This is not women's softball.

Have you watched the Dodgers play this season?

I've seen every game, this team struggles to score runs so much it's laughable at times. They can't hit the ball out of the park tonight notwithstanding). Mark Ellis, Matt Kemp, Carl Crawford, Hanley Ramirez, and AJ Ellis (five of their nine "regulars") are all not playing tonight. It's so bad Ramon Hernandez is batting cleanup. Anyway this team can get one run, they have to do it.

    If your lineup was:
    Puig
    Punto
    Gonzalez
    Hernandez
    Van Slyke
    Ethier
    Hairston (Jerry, not Scott)
    Luis Cruz

You'd do anything you can to get runs on the board.

Why is it such a horrible idea, Puig singled, have Punto bunt, Puig to second, Gonzalez homers, 2-0. But nope, Puig singles, Punto GIDP, solo HR, 1-0.

It should be 3-1 not 2-1 right now.

All right, Bodie, with a runner at second and one out what makes you so sure Gonzalez is going to get a pitch to hit out of the park anyway? Why wouldn't they just pitch around him and go for the double play against the slow-ass catcher who's batting below .200?

You're going to get your ass kicked by NDJournalist again if you aren't careful.

    Anonymous people don't scare me.

They don't have to throw him a pitch to hit, if the pitcher makes a mistake, Gonzalez is the only hitter in the LA lineup (not on the DL) who can take advantage.

I'd put money on Adrian Gonzalez vs Eric Stults more often than not.

You can break out the laptop, hide behind the computer and call me dumb all you want. I couldn't care less what internet tough guys think of me.

Too many people here think they're better than everyone else. The arrogance is amazing sometimes.
