The bad news: The Marlins are on pace to be the worst team ever.

The good news: Of their 16 wins this season, 6 are against the Mets.

Nats have gained a full game on the Braves without even playing the last two days. Nice.

Hey, they put up all of one run in 20 innings today.

Shawn Marcum goes eight innings in relief and takes the loss because he allowed one run in the 20th.

Marlins-Mets goes 20, and Rangers-Jays went 18. Anyone know if that's a record for two longest games on the same day?
I seem to remember another double marathon a few years ago, but can't for the life of me remember when it was or who it involved.

    The recent one was August 15, 2006. D'backs-Rockies went 18 and Cubs-Astros went 18.

On Sept. 11, 1974, the Yankees and Orioles played 17 innings, while the Mets and Cardinals played 25 innings.

Those are the only three occasions (including today) since 1916 when two games went 17+ innings on the same day.

Just thought it was a good quote.

He was talking about the Upton kid who stinks this season.

This Braves team can pitch, Medlen, Malholm and Hudson have all looked good.

They can hit, too! Medlen just went deep.
