I don't think too many people realize the Giants won last year with hitting, not pitching.

The 2010 and 2012 teams were vastly different, not just in personnel but in style/strategy.

You're right about that. The '12 team was the highest-scoring road team in baseball, but the home park hid the story for the most part. But at least the starters were good at home and average on the road. This year they're bad at home and pathetic on the road.

I'm happy when the starter goes five innings and allows four runs. I don't even know what the hell Devil would call that.

I'm not Devil, but the term "hell is freezing over" comes to mind.

In the span of the past year, the Dodgers have:
    1) Had one of their fans beat a Giants fan nearly to death.
    2) Gotten in an ugly brawl with the Padres.
    3) Gotten in an uglier brawl with the Diamondbacks.

Colorado Rockies, you're on the clock.

Padres one was really kind of on Quentin. No reason to go after Greinke.

Greinke had to do what he did last night and I'm glad he did.

The fan attack was in 2011 too, so not in the past year.

Speaking of which ... Bryan Stow is going home because the insurance has run out on his assisted care.

There's a lawsuit against the Dodgers pending, but if there were any decency in the world, the team would settle up so he can get the care he needs.

Was it that long ago? Wow. Thought it was toward the end of last year. Time flies.

Random tangent ... watching Twins-Phillies tonight and seeing all of the Menard's commercials. Have they made a new ad since 1993? Or that they can advertise better products than clamps and dog kennels? What the hell is their marketing strategy?
All of the ads have the production value of those safety videos we had to watch in shop class telling you not to stick your head into a running table saw.

Opening Day 2011 season ... but you're right, it seems longer. Still makes me sick.

This guy is the best player on the Brewers roster. Better than Braun. An MVP candidate, if not this year then in years to come. Hit is 10th homer tonight and continues to amaze. Has more home runs (10) and more triples (eight) than he does doubles (seven) -- now has 25 XBHs and 19 SBs after tonight. Between Segura and Gomez, the Brewers are running away with the major-league lead in triples. They have 26. Colorado is next with 17.

Segura might be playing a little over his head. Not that he isn't legit, but this kind of power is something he didn't show in the minors.
