As I recall, Rich Gedman then chased Bell into the Blue Jays' bullpen.

Interesting fact that even though Kison started Game 1 of the 1979 World Series, he only pitched 1/3 of an inning more than Bell did in that entire seven-game classic.

Passed ball is no fault of the pitchers, a wild pitch is. That's why you don't penalize the pitcher on a passed ball.

Rangers go into St. Louis and win the first two games. Nellie Cruz goes yard in each game. Exorcising demons a little?

Red Sox getting absolutely jobbed in Detroit by umps. Nava does little Willie Mays Hayes basket catch, drops when switching hands to throw it in and the ump won't give him the catch. Farrell tossed justifiably.

Then again, I suppose that play is why Lou Brown said "Don't ever ------- do that again."

EDIT: Mike DiMuro is the guilty party.

Blue Jays sweep the Orioles. Make it eleven wins in a row for them.

David Wright today: 2 doubles, triple homer, ties Mets record with 4 XBH in a game.

    He's 30 for his last 75.

Giants lose three out of four to the Marlins. The Marlins. Ugh.

Eh, I wouldn't get too bothered by it. Until they won Saturday, they had lost nine in a row at home to the Marlins dating to 2010. They had won two world championships since their last home victory in the series, over the then-Florida Marlins.

Just a weird team v. team quirk.

If you're still awake for this one, Adam Wainwright and some Texas rookie are hooked up in a duel in the fifth inning.

Guess which one hasn't allowed a hit yet.

It kind of sucks because I can't let the cover loose until I know there's NTSHMA.
