I'm guessing Manky was in a happy sappy froth over Jeter's birthday.

Anthony Rendon since June 5: .392/.416/.554, 10 multi-hit games (out of 18). For the season, the kid is hitting .354.

He can hit a little. And that mullet is amazing.

When the Nats get Harper and Ramos back next week, maybe they'll stop sucking.

The Pirates are now 10-1 when Jeanmar Gomez, Phil Irwin and Brandon Cumpton start games.

And they have the best record in baseball.

And yes, there is plenty of time for another collapse.

For now, I'm just going to enjoy this.

Best record in baseball (tied with St. Louis).

And, oh yeah, my Brewers suck. :(

Dodgers fans collectively crap their pants as Yasiel Puig does his best Bryce Harper impersonation and runs face first into the right field wall. He was chasing a home run by Chase Utley, had his shoulder turned toward the infield, and splattered himself against a video board. Stayed in the game, but looked shaken up a bit.

Gosh. That Puig guy should stop playing so damn hard!!! Else, he'll be out of the league in three years!!!

Indians over White Sox 19-10 in the first of two? Did The Hawk head for the bridge?

Giants lose again, 4-1 to the Rockies. I'm beginning to wonder if they will be sellers rather than buyers when it comes to the trade deadline.

No, but I bet a few beat writers did. God, Five hours at the Cell with three minimum to go (and they put the tarp on at one point) has to be a violation of their human rights.

Also, Miguel Cabrera's ABs tonight: HR, HR, 1B, 2B on one hop off the centerfield wall. Probably should have just walked him.

The Mariners should have a Wooly Willy giveaway that features Eric Wedge's face and white metal shavings.

I hate to say it but they could offer Hunter Pence, who would be a rental to a contender, for prospects. I would rather they sign Pence to a five-year contract.
