So, you are standing with Dick that comparing the use of chemotherapy to the use of metrics in baseball is sensible? Yeah, that figures.

MLB considering 100-game suspensions for A-Rod and Ryan Braun, who refused to answer questions about Biogenesis:

As ridiculously obvious as Braun's guilt is to everyone who isn't oop, that would be some supreme bullshit. They're going to punish him for doing something and lying about it without proving that he actually did it?

I can't see how that stands up. They're going to be firing another arbitrator soon.

They are also going to be violating their own policy if they apply the punishment for a second offense even though the first was overturned.

And hey, keep the lame personal digs coming. They really raise the level of discourse around here.

Braun's dirty as shit but I don't see how a suspension like that could even be possible under the terms of the CBA.

It shouldn't. Maybe MLB has some information that hasn't gotten out yet. Otherwise, it seems stupid to suspend him for 100 games when even 50 could be challenged based on how shaky the evidence seems.

Right now they have hand-written notes and testimony from an unreliable source and Braun's refusal to answer some questions, which seems fairly reasonable given how desperate MLB is to bust him.

So Alex Rios has a six-hit game.

And Re: Toledo, 93Devil, is it too much to expect someone who's one takeout slide from the Show to not have to wear a hot dog across their gut?
