Typical. Yankee lifetime achievement award screws an Indian out of a legit MVP. Fuck baseball.

Just wait until Jeter announces his retirement prior to next year.

Peter Minuit was firing beads to win the first MVP.

It was Connecticut until after the 2009 season. They actually sought out Richmond (go Flying Squirrels!) because they hated the weather and ballpark in CT and are more amenable to sending guys through Double A now.

Career minor leayuers could be said about a lot of the Giants' farmhands.

It does seem a bit odd that of the three leagues in High-A, which is probably a key point in determining whether a guy is going to keep rising or is more likely to stall out, one is extremely hitter-friendly and another is extremely pitcher-friendly. But I guess if you're going to have a spring-training facility, you almost might as well stick an FSL team in it.

If I get bored enough before play resumes Friday, I may re-affiliate all the minor league teams based on geography.

Since teams now have a more-or-less permanent presence at their spring training sites for rehab, etc. having a low minor league team there makes sense.
