Yu Darvish performance tonight made me think of this. What's the best pitching performance you've ever watched?

    I've got two:

    Kerry Wood's 20 K game
Jack Morris in Game 7 of the 1991 World Series

    Rough night for the Phillies:

Cole Hamels throws eight shutout innings vs. the Giants, but leaves the game with a 1-0 lead.

Papelbon blows the save, and SF takes a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the ninth.

Philly loads the bases with no outs vs. Sergio Romo. Pop-up, pop-up, ground out, game over.

Verlander on a Friday night last year against the Pirates. Had them totally out of sorts, just so happened that some guy ran into one with one out in the ninth, but might have been better than the no-hitters.

Mariners' bullpen implodes in the ninth. Red Sox erase 7-2 lead by scoring 6 times to win 8-7.

ESPN, no doubt, will devote half their Sportscenter to this.

Felix Hernandez left after the seventh inning with a 7-1 lead.

Solo HR in the 8th, then three walks and a boatload of hits allowed by the M's pen in the ninth.

    Brutal.

Edgmer Escalona of the Rockies, in three games against the Braves this week: 1 IP, 6H, 7ER, 2HR. And one of those home runs allowed two inherited runners to score Tuesday night. He gave up the winning run Monday night, gave up a three-run home run Tuesday night and allowed five runs in a third of an inning last night. His ERA went from 4.39 to 5.79.

Of course, no one on the Rockies exactly covered themselves in glory in that particular series.
