YAWN! Yet another delay in these suspension announcements. Was supposed to be at noon. Now, it's slated for some time this afternoon.

Who wants to bet it gets delayed again this afternoon?

No worries. A half-game doesn't mean a whole lot on August 5. Shouldn't have jumped on you.

    From Ozzie Guillen:

"its all madonnas fault. every athlete she has been with has gone bad. see canseco, rodman and now rodriguez lol lol lol"

The best part was he tweeted this joke in both English and Spanish. Someone get this man a manager job.

Dunn's ball actually cleared both rows of shrubs and landed in the ivy. Cabrera's done that once, in the same game that he hit one into the camera booth that sticks out from the ivy.

Tigers players swear Cabrera cleared the whole thing in BP last year.

And yet, one of the longest homers in Comerica Park history (457 feet) belongs to, of all people, Eric Munson.

A year to the day after blowing a three-run lead in the 10th inning at Comerica Park, Chris Perez is given a 2-0 lead and gives up two hits and a walk before Alex Avila goes deep for a 4-2 Tiger lead that may have just been a gut punch in the AL Central race.

The Braves may get to the point relatively soon where it's OK to rest starters.

15 road wins in a row for the Dodgers, 32-7 overall in their last 39, after a 3-2 win at St. Louis.

They got lucky a bit in bottom-1 when everything was going wrong and it looked like the Cards were going to score 8. Instead, Greinke got out of it having allowed just one run and then the Dodgers scratched for a run here and there, while Puig made another fabulous throw from the wall that led to a 9-6-2 and kept the score 2-1.

The Dodgers and Cards have met 2,018 times. Each team has won 1,009 games.

    Tomorrow, Kershaw.

And Perez left the clubhouse before reporters arrived. Jackass. Then again, Leyland aborted the pregame presser after demanding no more questions about Peralta, so I suppose turnabout is fair play.
