Dempster managed to turn ARoid into a sympathetic figure for the evening and woke up
The Yankees to rally around him.

The Red Sox are calling up top prospect Xander Bogaerts:

Sure looks like The Yankees nailed Onora on purpose. Stewert does not
even make an attempt to go after ball. Count was 3-0 so they
    know batter would be taking.

I'm surprised he only need four pitches to hit what he was throwing at.

Apparently Dempster v. A-Rod had nothing to do with PEDs or the suspension or any back-and-forth between the teams. It was a good old-fashioned "this guy's a prick" maneuver. According to Canadian hockey writer Wayne Scanlan, A-Rod once snubbed Dempster at a public event and Dempster vowed to hit him the next time they met. (Scanlan's tweet about it have been removed, but he wrote:

Doesn't the rule that says don't hurt your team when carrying out personal
    grudges supersede all other rules.

The best part about it is Dumpster crumbled after A-Rod smashed the leadoff HR to centerfield in the 7th to spark the winning 4-run rally.

Listen to the buzz of the crowd as he goes into the dugout. Electric.

What a great "fuck you" home run that was. It's like the Red Sox have never had the Yankees stick one up their ass and break it off. If this was 10 years ago, the world would be expecting Boston to go 10-25 the rest of the way and piss away whatever lead they had.

Would love to see those asses go into the shitter for the next 75 years, again.

Pujols officially done for the year.

The good news is there are only 8 years and $212 million left on his contract, and it's not like foot problems get worse as you age or anything.

The Angels are already working on canceling the contract. That's a thing now. Soon we will see LA writers asking why the hell doesn't he just retire.

How do you cancel a contract if the player is meeting all medical obligations and is not suspended for PED use (threw in there for AQB)?
"Your honor, we were stupid when we gave him that deal!"
