This is what happens when he takes a pitch.

Grienke has to take some blame for this. He could have ended it.

I assumed Greinke broke his collarbone going down to the ground but looking at the video I'm wondering if it happened in the initial collision.

    That was my assumption.

Neither the Braves or the Nats have been able to build much of a gap in the nl east standings this year. The 3-game series that starts tonight could change that.

Hate when you can't build a gap 10 games into the season. It's the worst, Jerry. The worst!

So although it's early, the A's:

--Have had at least 10 hits in eight straight games
--Just finished a 6-0 road trip in which they batted .326
--Swept the Angels by a combined score of 28-11

    Please go away.
It's less than 10 games into the season. There's no "gap" to be built. And if either team sweeps this weekend, I doubt they'll start popping champagne.

I don't know if he could have ended it, but he certainly didn't go out of his way to try to end it. Pretty sure he popped off after hitting Quentin.

But if the Braves sweep, they could cut their magic number to 147!

Why does the NY Times refer to Ichiro Suzuki as Suzuki. There's a brief article in today's paper that starts with 'Suzuki' in the headline and keeps refering to him as Suzuki. Who's Suzuki? Oh Yeah, Ichiro. Did they refer to Pele as Nascimento or Edison Arantes do Nascimento?
