This guy's going to be awfully bored for the next 21 games, since he won't see a pitch anywhere near the strike zone.

So this Yusmeiro Petit fella? Has what I believe the kids call "serious shit." Nothing doing through three..

Like Jake Taylor, he couldn't cut it in the Mexican League.

Is it irony, karma or just plain fucked up that ARod played more games this year than Jeter?

    I don't know but tonight's Jose Fernandez-Chris Johnson-Brian McCann hoedown was humorous.

Re: Home runs -- first by McCann, then Fernandez -- with eyeballing (by McCann) and pimping (by Fernandez) and plenty of flapping gums.

And Marlins manager Mike Redmond threw Fernandez under the bus:

Only after Fernandez threw himself under said bus. He sought out McCann and Minor after the game to apologize.

Watch the video again. He spit at third base — after spending the previous inning jawing at Braves 3B Chris Johnson and then jawing at McCann before his at-bat and then preening at home plate while his home run was leaving the yard — and that's what the Braves were (rightfully) upset about.

AL Manager of the Year: Farrell, Girardi or Tito?

I suppose Bob Melvin's in the mix too. Very tough choice this year.

    607.

The number of games that Teixeira, Jeter, A-Rod, Granderson and Youk have missed -- this season.
