A's beat Angels 2-1 on Josh Donaldson's walk-off single. Magic number down to six.

This is the Mets we're talking about here. They'd fuck up treatment of a papercut.

So Harvey decide to put off TJ surgery for a couple months? Smart!

Nats are making things interesting in the NL wild card race, which has been non-existent all summer. Especially since the Reds and Pirates still have six games left to play against each other.

Braves had a genius of a marketing plan to sell their outfield tickets for the remaining games for the number of their division lead. Put it in place back when the lead was around 14, a nice discount from the $18 normal ticket price. Now, the lead is down to 8, and it's possible you could be getting in Turner Field next week for less than the price of a stadium hot dog.

What's up with Indians attendance? They're drawing less than 10,000 in the middle of a playoff race. That's just sad.

“... I have a friend who was downtown and decided to take in an afternoon game, only to be told at the ticket window that the cheapest seats were $38. So the group of them walked the block to a downtown establishment and watched the game there."

That sounds very unfair to management to make them respond to the market. People should happily pay what the owners want them to pay.

It won't be really interesting unless they can get the lead down to 2 games. Nats basically have to win out, or come really close to winning out. Reds need an epic collapse. I don't see it.

How is that possible? Are their seats really that expensive?

Went to a Brewers game Friday night with friends. There were five of us, and we had four tickets. I paid $5.00 to a very nice woman who had an extra ticket. It was in the upper deck, but there was an extra seat in the row where the other tickets were, right behind 1st base.

This game was pretty well attended too.

I've got to think that if you hung around out front for a minute or two, you could have gotten into the Indians game for a couple of bucks, or even for free.

    Yeah. That can't be right.

8-3 puts them at 89-73. Means the Reds would have to go 3-7 or the Pirates go 2-9. Unlikely maybe, but not out of the question. Especially if one of those two teams can take something like 5 of 6 from the other.

The Pirates winning 5 of 6 from the Reds is about the only shot the Nats have, and that's only IF they win damn near every game left on the schedule.

It was a good push, though. Glad they finally showed up this season. Was beginning to wonder.

I wonder where the Giants would be in the standings if Angel Pagan had been healthy all year.
