I have no loyalties to the Buccos but I'm really enjoying their team and this run. Last few years they teased fans through the first half.

Now they've broken through to the other side, just about.

If the Dodgers don't make it I'd like to see Pittsburgh in the World Series, against the Orioles or Yankees.

I will love seeing fall baseball at PNC. Pittsburgh is a great fall city.

Well, Pittsburgh has a 6-game lead over third-place Washington in the wild-card standings with 9 to play, so they're going to get at least one home game.

Pirates have to finish ahead of either the Reds or Cardinals to get a home game. Those three are separated by 2 games now. Finish third and you play the wild card game on the road and have no guaranteed home games.

I am so excited about seeing the Pirates in the World Series that I would sacrifice the Steelers going to the NFL postseason for the next 20 years in return.

Andy Pettitte to retire ... again. He's like Sugar Ray Leonard at this point ...

Dodgers went from 30-42 to a 42-8 run and the division title. Hell, let them celebrate.

As for the D-Backs being sore losers? IIRC, they celebrated at Dodger Stadium before.

Hard to believe Kirk Gibson would get the red-ass over something.

That did look like a bunch of little leaguers at the water park.

Hey, if you want to run on the field and man-hug your teammate, fine. If you want to spray champagne all over the clubhouse, fine. But jumping in the swimming pool is a little much. Then again, even HAVING a swimming pool at a major league stadium is a little much.

ESPN just had a roundtable on the Dodgers' celebration, and John McCain tweeted his outrage too.

Jesus Christ. You'd think Mattingly dropped a Baby Ruth in there or something.
