Yeah, that's the thing with the clip from last night. For someone who wants to pretend he didn't want to be hit, he sure as hell didn't make much effort to get out of the way.

He should alter his stance? Maybe pitchers should stop throwing inside.

I think it's only fair that Quentin no longer be allowed to take his base after being hit. In fact, I think the rule should be changed so that a batter has to be hit TWO times in a given at-bat to avoid the scourge of hitters making it hard for pitchers to throw the ball wherever they want.

As much as I would love to see Quentin not play until Greinke comes back, everyone knows there is no way in hell that'll happen.

He'll get suspended three games, then he will appeal and his suspension will just happen to start on Monday.

That's what opening against the Mariners, Astros and Angels will do for you.

Yeah, but they use the DH in that league so it doesn't count...

Had no idea it had been that recently.

One part I can't get a handle on is, it looks like a pitch one would use to back the batter off the plate, and why are you throwing that on 3-2 in a one-run game? Greinke has never impressed me as brushback pitcher in the Gibson/Drysdale mode.

Texas has a day-night DH scheduled at Arizona, I think in June.

Quentin is a hothead who cost himself an MVP in 2008 because he can't control his temper. On the other hand, Greinke has got to be smarter than to do what he did. I don't know if he hit him on purpose, but once he hit him, he handled it about as badly as possible.

Yeah, but that's a split doubleheader though, isn't it? Not a traditional DH where they don't clear the park between games.

Wouldn't the idea of a suspension equal to the amount of time Greinke will miss be something like 14-17 games? Greinke might miss three months, which is probably in that ballpark as far as starts go.

I don't understand how a single fan could dislike a doubleheader. If you want to stay and watch both games, hey there's a second game for free.

If you want to leave after game one, who is stopping thou?
