Look out, Buster Posey has come out to play, 2 HRs in 2 days; last night an absolute bomb to dead center to tie game in bottom of 8th.

Dylan Bundy headed to see James Andrews. Ugh.

Valverde signs one-year deal with Tigers. Leyland announces he will be closer for Wednesday's game.

Rookie Bruce Rondon also was called from Toledo on Tuesday.

Gametime temp in Denver for Braves-Rockies is 30 degrees. So, naturally, there's a few young fans in the stands not wearing a shirt.

I went to a White Sox game in the first week of the season a few years back and it was below freezing. For some reason, we stayed seven innings, but we spent most of the time hidden from the wind behind a giant concrete column. Generally miserable experience, even with my shirt on.

Yeah, but you had no sleeves. That's barely a shirt.

So you kept warm by running around on the field and beating the hell out of the first base coach. Yeah, we've heard how this story ends. :D

Ha! There actually was a group of shirtless douchebags a couple rows in front of us, and they got kicked out for refusing to put their shirts on. I know that sounds backwards, but it happened.

Which guarantees it will have to be Sept. 1 with Valverde with an 8.00 ERA and 20 blown saves before they yank him out of the closer role.

They have burned the bridges on all their other options.

Fun Fact: One of the Tiger players making unmistakable and rather blatant gestures of disgust as Valverde blew repeated saves in the playoffs last year was none other than Jose Miguel Cabrera Torres.

    Could get interesting.

Speaking of White Sox fans ... look closely at the tattoo on his left temple. :D

I don't know what Rick's letters mean, but this could be a really big deal beyond the O's and into the whole realm of player development. Bundy is huge into extreme long-toss, heavy side work including throwing the day after a game, major weight training, etc. For a couple of years the story has been framed about the old guard that wouldn't believe the science behind this new technique.
