So I cite how he doesn't get on base and you bring up ONE situation where he got on base?

And that earns the return of a classic baseball quote:

"I had bad days on the field. But I didn't take them home with me. I left them in a bar along the way home." — Bob Lemon.

No, I was citing today. I can give you other examples. Every time he is in the lineup he gets on more than Skip Schumaker, Justin Sellers, Juan Uribe or Luis Cruz. Hell, he gets on more than Hairston who I really like because he can play everywhere.

For the record Punto has been on base 18 times in 37 (12-30 with six walks) plate appearances, so your bullshit stats might be a tad off, I am no math expert but that is a shade under .500.

It's also a ridiculously small sample size that will come crashing down to Earth.

I'm still not 100 percent sold on Fowler, but he sure looks like he is finally emerging as a very good outfielder. He still doesn't steal bases like a player with his speed should, but the Rockies have to be encouraged by how well he is hitting on the road this season.

    No one steals bases anymore.

And hey ND, Punto just got another hit and an RBI. 2-2 tonight, so yeah EAD.

Fair point. Just saying Fowler has the speed to make more of an impact on the bases but he doesn't seem to know how.

Oh yeah, he is fast as hell. He'll get it at some point.

Carlos Gonzalez is some kinda player. The throw he made to the plate earlier notwithstanding.

Humber takes the loss, 0-6 in April, first since Dave Stewart in (I forgot the number of) years.

Bodie, you're losing an argument with NDJ. Take a step back and think about that for a moment.

Just because Punto is having a good month does not negate the fact that he's been terrible at getting on base for the length of his career. I guarantee you that if he played every day, his OBP would be somewhere around .300.

Yu didn't have his best command, but he battled through six and is in line for his fifth win. He got a little cute and threw a 59-mph bender to Dewayne Wise, who belted his 31st career homer.

If ijag were in LA, Punto would get to second base at least once a night.
