I think his stock went way down. His D line did him no favors but he showed that he was not able to take on NFL size O linemen and make quick adjustments against fast RB's. I don't think he's a Mike in the NFL. Seems like a better fit at OLB.

Take a look at this clip - .46 sec mark on Lacy 2nd TD of game. Warmack just eats him up.

Tennessee QB Tyler Bray, WRs Justin Hunter and Cordarelle Patterson and DL Darrington Sentimore all in:

Patterson's legit. Probably the best one-year JuCo guy in the SEC I've seen outside of Cam Newton.

Bray is an idiot for leaving; but then again, he was an idiot for staying when Kiffin bolted shortly before he signed.

    Alabama OT D.J. Fluker in:

Fun fact: Fluker's given name is Danny Lee Jesus Fluker.

Of Rivals' top 32 players in 2008, eight players were first-round draft picks: No. 4 Julio Jones, No. 5 Patrick (Johnson) Peterson, No. 9 A.J. Green, No. 11 Matt Kalil, No. 14 Blaine Gabbert, No. 15 Tyron Smith, No. 26 Jonathan Baldwin and No. 27 Michael Floyd. That's four wide receivers, two cornerbacks, two offensive tackles and one quarterback (who hasn't justified his selection at all).

I'd love to compare Rivals' rankings over the last 5-10 years to, say, Tom Lemming's and Alan Wallace's rankings from the '80s, when this industry was just taking off.

My guess is that Rivals is head and shoulders better, but it'd be interesting to examine empirically.

LSU OT Chris Faulk enters the draft as well. That makes 10, which has got to be a record.

Very early in the season I made my list of Alabama's best NFL prospects. I decided to do it again. Not all these guys are eligible, so I put a star next to those who aren't.

Versatile's Alabama NFL prospects power rankings:

    1. Cyrus Kouandjio*: He should be the best left tackle in the country next season.
    2. Amari Cooper*: No one is as athletic as Julio Jones, but he's a better receiver.
    3. Chance Warmack: Guards like him don't come around often.
    4. T.J. Yeldon*: He is a better rusher than Trent Richardson.
    5. Dee Milliner: He has the size and strength of Dre Kirkpatrick with twice the ball skills.
    6. AJ McCarron: He was the nation's most efficient passer in every sense.
    7. Ha'Sean Clinton-Dix*: He improved tremendously during the season and has great ball skills.
    8. C.J. Mosley: He was the best defensive player on the team, but he's small.
    9. Jesse Williams: He eats up space, has great athleticism and plays end or tackle in a 3-4.
    10. Barrett Jones: He can start at guard, center or right tackle from Day One.
    11. Eddie Lacy: That spin move may not translate, but his hard running will.
    12. Trey Depriest*: He hits hard and has a nose for the ball as an ideal middle linebacker.
    13. Adrian Hubbard: He is hurt by the front-seven rotations but a potential stud end rusher.
    14. D.J. Fluker: This season proves he probably can't halde the left side.
    15. Ed Stinson: He is a prototype 3-4 defensive end.

I expect McCarron, Mosley, Hubbard and Stinson to return, too. There probably are about 10-15 more guys on the roster who can make the NFL.

As far as this draft goes, I am interested to see what happens with Robert Lester, Michael Williams and Nico Johnson. Lester probably always was going to fall to the third day of the draft, but Williams and Johnson had solid second- or third-round potential and failed to deliver on it as seniors.

For good measure, I count three guys who went in the second round in Kyle Rudolph, Daquan Bowers and Mike Adams. For the mostpart it seems Rivals did a solid job on this one.
