Bears took a guy who started four games in college. But he's Howie Long's son, so that's all that matters I guess.

All the Bears fans I know are freaking out.

 

He's a lineman for the Bears. He's not going to be successful no matter who he is or how much experience he has.

 

This doesn't seem that unreasonable, but I'm a Cowboys fanboi, so what do I know. Not sure I'd call it a fleecing, though.

49ers also moved up to take a guy that would've been there at 31.

I did not have the Bears for the first WTF? pick in my draft pool, so I hope Phil Emery's instincts are right. Long apparently spent a lot of time with team officials. He looks like a guy who would be a great offensive lineman in Chicago, so there's that. Fingers crossed this pick works out. The team has a bad history picking OL in the first round. I'm hoping that this pick means Gabe Carimi has finally shown he doesn't suck and the Bears drafted Long for depth and versatility.

 

At least they didn't take Te'o.

Falcons traded down eight and got a better pick. Cowboys trade was worth at least a three and a six.

 

Can't knock the Bears for taking an offensive lineman. They need help there.
