When Smith signed his LOI at WVU, did he do a hat show on signing day?

When it comes to sports, and basically their lives, since they awere 13 years old, guys like Smith have rarely if ever been told "No". They've had the disappointment of losing games, but not being questioned for their ability.

We're not talking about well rounded regular college students, this is about the most pampered and spoiled group of 21-23 year olds in the country.

Maybe he just doesn't have another suit?

Love that Joe Thomas went fishing instead of going to draft a few years back.

In many ways The NFL and ESPN want the drama so players like Smith get set up a bit.

It was smart for Teo not to allow cameras in his house.

Te'o would have had to be insane to agree to it. Joe Thomas and AJ Hawk were a couple top five picks who didn't go...

Almost as odd is that their lower-round quarterback picks haven't panned out. Not even marginally. The only quarterback drafted by the Chiefs to start at least 10 games for the franchise since Blackledge is Brodie Croyle (exactly 10 games). The last one to start every game of a season was Mike Livingston in 1976.

Based on that Tebow documentary, ESPN pushed him really hard to go to NYC and I'm pretty sure he declined to go.

I interviewed Marino about falling in the draft years ago and he said, "I think about that almost every day and it still makes me mad." I don't remember if he went to NYC for the draft. I tend to doubt it.

This was seen as a weak draft for skill players. So it shouldn't have been a surprise that the first 7 selections and 17 of the first 32 were all OL and DL. Few of those guys are household names.

That's because Marino doesn't have a ring to take his mind off it. :D

And he's just a bitter prick in general... I remember he couldn't hide his disgust when Favre was breaking all of his records...

The thing with Shanny is, you never know what the hell he's going to do. You can THINK you know exactly what his team needs and what he should draft. But then he pulls out a Maurice Clarett or Kirk Cousins and it makes you scratch your head.

Hell, the Skins could use a change of pace running back as well. And a linebacker.

Yeah, watch Shanny take another QB high in the draft. :D

I'm going to start sending him Packers gear wrapped in old Russ Feingold campaign stickers. :D
