Te'o went to the perfect place. He'll be ignored in San Diego. That team probably gets less media coverage than any team in the NFL.

The Niners have turned into the machine they once were, and even duped Team Jethro along the way Thursday. Dallas is simply beyond help. If Jones didn't make so damn much money for the league, they'd push to get him out of there. Everyone loves beating up on America's Team now.

Now that Al Davis is gone, Jones is becoming the NFL's craziest owner.

I'd argue that the perfect place would have better linemen in front of him.

Becoming? He is....crazy in ownership because he refuses to fire a GM who has won one playoff game in nearly 20 years.

It is pretty amazing... All he has to do is take a step back and hire a good GM and let him handle things and the Cowboys could probably be turned around pretty quickly. They're not a bad team, but Jones clearly doesn't know as much about football as he thinks... Hell, if the Herschel Walker trade hadn't happened, this might have been very apparent 20+ years ago.

Jimmy was the card shark that brokered that deal.

Exactly. Jerry was the one who traded two first-round picks for Joey Galloway. One of those picks was used on Shaun Alexander.

Well, to be fair, Jerry would have simply used that pick to reach for someone with a fourth-round grade.

doug marrone did nice job explaining his qb decision, going for fla state guy instead of ryan nassib. says the fla guy has greater 'up-side.' that nassib is more nfl-ready now but skills leave less room for improvement -- tough explanation but somebody's gotta do it:

That may be, but the problem is they could have gotten Manuel in the second round ... and possibly the third.

How do you, or how does anybody, know this? The #1 takeaway from this draft was how many players went way earlier or later than their "projected" spot. All it tells me is that prognosticators and media don't know shit, and the structure of the draft within the league is an entirely different matter than what we are led to believe it is.
