Does Dave Robinson's induction help or hinder L.C. Greenwood's chances? Or Chuck Howley's?
The "too many guys in" had been used a lot with the '60s Packers and '70s Steelers.
Also, with Culp in, that's eight members of the '69 Chiefs now in Canton.

Kurt Warner will get in, and he should.

Peter King said he doesn't expect to see Modell as a finalist again anytime soon...

He made it sound like the only one of the five he might have changed was Strahan or Haley over Sapp.

I think they did a pretty good job this year. I would have been fine with Shields making it last year or this year, but I can't argue that Allen and Ogden were more deserving.

Sapp surprised me for a few reasons. I'm stunned it has taken Haley this long to get in. I thought's Strahan's popularity would help him get in this year, but I'm kind of glad it didn't. I don't like when it becomes a popularity contest and some people thought that was the reason why Howie Long got in as quickly as he did. Deserving? Absolutely... but especially for defensive players, it's usually pretty hard to make it on the first ballot. That's part of the reason Sapp getting in surprised me.

Herm Edwards (yeah, I know), noted that as many as four guys from that Bucs defense could eventually be inducted, Sapp, Derrick Brooks, John Lynch and Ronde Barber. It's certainly possible.

    John Lynch isn't getting in.

I could see him getting in, but not anytime soon.

I wonder if Brooks gets in on the first ballot. I tend to think he will...

and nor should he get in. Leroy Butler was a far better safety and he isn't getting into the Hall.

Lynch was Steve Atwater. Big hits and big hype.

There aren't too many full-time safeties in Canton. A lot of the the guys who played safety who are in, also played DB before moving over to safety.

Atwater probably isn't getting in. I'm guessing Dawkins and Lynch will both have a chance, but I would think if you had to pick one, most would take Dawkins.

Ed Reed and Troy Polamalu will make it. Brian Dawkins has a better shot than John Lynch.
