So, Daniel Bryan pinned the World Heavyweight Champion at Wrestlemania. That means he can jump back into the title picture this summer, right? Yes! Yes! Yes!

Wow. Had no clue his theme was that over. Just crazy considering when I look at his character and I see the 2013 version of the Disco Inferno.

 

He's not Disco Inferno. He's Faaaaan. Daaaaan. Goooooooooooooooooooo.

 

It wasn't that over until Monday night, when that crowd suddenly put it over.

WWE's rolling with it, for now. They had a story on whether the crowd was the greatest in Raw history, and a poll on the best chant. Plus, they're selling the theme as a ringtone.

 

I was going to download the whole song and cut it down. This will save me the hassle.

 

Amazing. It's the No. 9 ringtone -- unless it's been bumped up here in the last bit -- on iTunes' chart.

 

For those who were wondering, that white stuff on Trip's body when he made his WM entrance was dry ice. Something went wrong with the smoke stuff coming out, and he ended up with second degree burns.

Oof, remind me to be more careful around the dry ice at Halloween.

Speaking of Wrestlemania entrances, anyone notice how plain they were this year? Punk got Living Colour, Undertaker got hands from hell, Triple H got burned in his skull head ... and that was it. Nothing for the big event. Rock and Cena came out to zero fanfare. Last year, they had MGK and Flo Rida, a couple of big pulls. Were they out of ideas, especially for Cena? Since Wrestlemania 22, he's had Chicago gangsters, a Shelby Mustang, a marching band, 100 mini-Cenas doing a big U Can't See Me circle jerk, the Air Force drill team, a video package with a black choir, and MGK. This year, nada. It's become part of the fun to see what kind of over the top entrance he gets.

 

Ouch. Kudos also to Rock for working with his injuries, which have to be seriously painful.

 

It's almost like they were mailing it in.
