Obviously, but I like to think there are still some general standards based on performance. Moondog Rex and Moondog Spot will not get in the HOF.
Most of the HOF members have at least done something of note in the business, whether it's winning a ton of championships or just being a unique and memorable character.

I also don't have a problem with some of the old-timers who spent little or no time in WWE. If they hired Sting and put him in there, it's one thing. If they're honoring someone like Harley Race, whose best days were in the NWA but obviously belongs in any wrestling hall of fame, it's another.

It's hard for me to take the Hall seriously. On one hand, it is the only hall of fame pro wrestling may ever have. Anyone should be eligible, even if they never worked WWE. Then again, Vince put in Drew fucking Carey.

Yeah, the only way an independent Hall probably gains traction is if the WWE either goes bankrupt at some point (and then, would there really be a demand for it?) or if a viable second competitor is around after Vince croaks, so you have an independent hall as a way to keep the peace, sort of.

The only pro wrestling Hall of Fame worth mentioning is the Wrestling Observer Hall of Fame.

Dave Meltzer has been a wrestling journalist more than 30 years and is considered tops in the industry. His Hall of Fame is legit. I should know, I'm a voting member.

Vince McMahon's HoF has been a joke from the start.

I remember reading an article about some wrestling legend that had gone bankrupt or died, and there was an auction of a lot of his memorabilia. Might have been Flair or Lou Thesz. Triple H snatched up most of it. Whether that was for a personal collection or future display, there's apparently a lot of material in the WWE family, so to speak.

When I saw he was there, I was definitely thinking one of two things:

    1) Dreamer's gonna get beaten up

    2) that cake ain't surviving the show.

My dad, who got me hooked on this stuff when I was younger, seems to think the marriage between Ray and Brooke is legit. I asked him why and he said there was just something about the smirk or smile or whatever Ray had on his face during the "ceremony."

I watched a recap online, and Brooke Hogan had a wardrobe malfunction while wearing a low, strapless wedding gown. Surprise!
