She took a few breaks early on in her run to spend more time with her kids, but I think they're pretty much grown now.

I'd say that was a pretty good debut.

Other than the Husky Harris chants of course. Damn smarks.

Shit like that pisses me off.

I know kayfabe no longer exists, but I wish it did. That way stuff like this debut would mean much more and have a much bigger impact than it did. It's one reason why stuff like Hogan jumping ship and joining nWo were great -- no one saw it coming.

I know that's comparing apples to oranges, but it applies here as well.

Remember, most of the folks in that arena were also Ravens fans.

And that should tell you all you need to know about that crowd tonight.

Ravens fans make Cowboys marks look reasonable.

It was inevitable. The only reasons nobody chanted "Michael McGuillicutty" at Curtis Axel for his repackaging is a) that name's a mouthful and b) nobody gives a shit about him. Now that everyone knows everything, you can't unring that bell.

At least they didn't chant "Axel Mulligan!" or "Duke Rotundo!"

The "Husky Harris" chants will go away if he earns the fans' respect as the character. Nobody chants "Issac Yankem" for Kane, and after a little while, fans stopped chanting "Cactus Jack" for Mankind.

That's because the character is old and wasn't around that long. And besides, we never saw Kane's face till he removed the mask on Raw one night.

I think part of it is that fans are more savvy to backgrounds and real names and stuff like that than they were even 10 years ago. Sure, we had the internet then, but it's a lot easier to call up some random dude's matches on YouTube or get detailed information on some character he played in a Mississippi indy for three months these days. Plus we've gotten to be a less easily satisfied audience. We don't like the match, we start chanting for Michael Cole or sing Fandango's theme.

The only guy I can think of recently to avoid it entirely, other than the aformentioned Axel, is Damien Sandow. But he looked a lot different, a lot of time had passed from his original WWE run and nobody remembered or cared about him. Bray is still going to look a good bit like Husky Harris, no matter how many fedoras and Hawaiian shirts to bedeck him in.

God, imagine if today's crowds were at the Survivor Series where Undertaker debuted.

MEAN MARK CALLOUS! *clap clap clapclapclap*

Now that I think of it, Raven got the "Johnny Polo" chant from the ECW crowd when he first started. He eventually turned them away from it.
