2013 Pro Wrestling Thread

I know everybody is picking Daniel Bryan to win the briefcase. And I think that would make everyone happy. I was at his last cash-in at the TLC Pay Per View, and the pop was astounding.

But, um, there's this C.M. Punk fellow ...

 

Punk doesn't need it. He'll be in the title/main event picture for some time to come.

But what if Punk is about to grab the briefcase when a very late entry to the match comes in to take him out and grab the case himself ... Brock Lesnar?

 

I think Punk gets screwed by Lesnar somehow. I think that's all but a certainty. There's been some buzz that perhaps Orton goes full heel tonight and wins the briefcase. I'd be OK with that but I'm still not sold that the E is ready to put the strap back on him (though theoretically they don't have to give him the title at his cash in). Although Bryan is maybe too obvious to be the winner, I just think it'd be wise of WWE to just go with the conventional wisdom and ride the wave of their most popular current star.

I'd love to see Barrett get a push but we've seen very little to indicate he will. He was right on the cusp of being a big time star before his injury and he's been fodder since his return. I wish they hadn't screwed with his character so much. I still think it'll be Ambrose but I'd be fine with any of the guys in that match getting a shot save for Fandango and Swagger.

 

I'm off to cook dinner before the show. If anyone has a better link than Front Row, I would appreciate a heads up.

And, if you missed the pre-show, Shield retained against the Usos. Hell of a match, too.

 

Rollins/Reigns ambush the match. Usos come to take them out. Ambrose climbs, but Rhodes sends him into a mass of wrestlers on the floor. Bodies everywhere!

 

Sandow screws Cody out of the contract. Yep, Damien Sandow is Mr. MitB SmackDown. Rhodes' face turn has apparently begun.
