Ah yes, the "New Monday Night Wars." That went so well that it won the 2010 Gooker Award, and is nicely recapped here:

They explained it last night on Raw, in as silly a reason as possible. Cole, et. al. said it wasn't designed to put wrestlers in the fire, rather, it was to keep the other two Wyatts out.

In that case, why not a cage match, or a Hell in the Cell? Both of those also can keep others from intefering, until the door is broken open.

No inferno match will ever be worth the effort without Jr screaming about a human being set on fire. I can hear that wonderful call in my head right now.

Have t admit I like their entrance a lot. The sheep mask in the background as Wyatt says, "We're here...." is a bit creepy to me. Been a while since WWE has had a wrestler/tag team/gimmick go in this direction.

Oh, I like the entrance. It's creepy and cool. It just doesn't work when they're coming to the ring to attack someone. I mean, why would anyone stay in the ring when they can run away and avoid a beatdown? It's not like the Shield's entrance, where they cut off all the exit routes.

  6. I think the Shield's is equally silly. They don't even come close to cutting off all the exits. In fact, the most logical exit - the ramp - is usually wide open.

Finally watched Raw. Either it was a mediocre show or Hulu cut a lot out.

The Vince/Trips shit needs to come to a head. It's boring.

I'm beyond annoyed with John Cena dragging out the Make-A-Wish kids as some kind of pass. "Oh, cheer me or boo me, that's the fun of Raw, but look at me! Look at all those sick kids I spent five minutes with!" What an attention whore. Good for him to do it for the kids, but don't shove it down my throat like it gives him some kind of moral high ground. Why is it whenever a face goes against Cena, they have to make the other guy an automatic heel? Daniel Bryan calls Cena a "parody of wrestling," which has truth to it, yet Bryan's the asshole because he doesn't show off spending time with sick kids?

The WWE is saying, "cheer or boo who you like, but anyone who goes against the golden goose is booked to look like an asshole. We may even trot out cancer kids." There's no logic or consistency in maintaining characters this way. It certainly killed any kind of momentum Ryback had, whether he's a good worker or not.

I wouldn't mind if Christian gets another title run. I wonder who he would go into a title program with.

RVD vs. Ambrose could be fantastic. I was kind of hoping RVD would go into a WHC program, maybe with Christian or Del Rio or whoever, but this could work well, too.

True on both accounts. Don't know, but for whatever reason, the Wyatt Family has grown on me. I think it's because they're different than any other new character they've introduced in a while. Plus, their entrance is creepy. I just hope they start pushing some more newer people to the top (e.g. Wyatt Family, Shield members as singles perhaps, Cesaro, etc.) to go along with the relatively new people like Bryan, Punk, Ziggler, Del Rio, etc.

Hopefully the fans will just boo him as a heel and not start in with the F-ggot! chants they used to do.

Watching Young's video, there's an ironically funny moment at the end, when the TMZ guy wishes him good luck in his future endeavors.

I noticed that, too. I'll be interested to see if WWE uses this in a storyline.
