In case anybody cares, TNA has fired Brooke Hogan. Not sure if it's cost-cutting or if there was something more, but interesting they'd get rid of her when God knows they want to keep Hogan around as much as possible.

Rey has also missed a lot of time with injuries since his last run.

I kind of wonder how connected Hogan is at this point. Note: I don't watch TNA anymore, so for all I know, he could be involved in every god damn angle. But he's supposed to be prominently feature in the new WWE game, which seems odd given that he's under contract in another wrestling company.

Yeah, the fact that he's in the WWE game while still with TNA did catch me by surprise. Interesting move, but not too shocking since I bet his contract lets him do whatever he wants outside-project wise.

The whole "wellness policy" and "three strikes" policy does not come into effect. Orton will continue to be an employee of the WWE as long as he is such a draw. WWE will not fire him after "three strikes." This is a self imposed policy to give the illusion that the WWE gives two shits about guys doing drugs/steroids. There are no rules or CBA stating a guy automatically is canned after three wellness policy violations.

If that's the case, then why suspend people like Orton or Misterio at all after they test positive? The only reason why people knew or might know they did test positive was due to WWE's announcing it. WWE is a publicly-traded company now. The McMahon's run things, but they do still have a PR image to maintain.

You nailed it. They suspend guys because they have a PR image to maintain. They're not going to fire a top draw and merch seller for smoking weed. They need to protect themselves in the extremely remote case of another Benoit.

I bet we'll find out soon enough. A WWE guy is going to test positive 3 times and then we'll see what happens.

If it's Orton, will we ever find out?

At least if I recall correctly, weed isn't covered by the wellness policy - they test for it, but if you come up positive, it's just a fine. I think the wellness policy stuff only applies to steroids and hard drugs like cocaine and heroin.

The last "feel good" first championship win I can recall is Christian defeating Del Rio for the WHC shortly after Edge took his forced retirement. Then they fucked it all up by turning him heel.

Vince also wanted Congress off of his ass. After Benoit, and coupled with the steroid investigations of MLB and the NFL, he wanted to look like he was actually doing something.
