The Rhodes/Goldust-Shield tag match was one of the best tag matches I've seen in a long time. Other than that, yea I could've done without it. Feel bad for whatever fools made the mistake of paying for it.

Plus, WWE almost had a Halloween Havoc '98 moment.

I don't remember that. What happened?

WCW had the audacity to believe the PPV feed would stay live past 11 p.m. because they're rich and powerful and they're WCW, yadda yadda yadda. The feed cut right at 11, early in a Goldberg-DDP title match. IIRC, they had to show the match for free on Nitro the next night.

Wasn't that also the Hogan-Warrior Rematch of Doom?

Early in the match? As I recall, the bell sounded, Goldberg and DDP circled for a few seconds, locked up ... feed goes dead. Some friends and I went in on the cost of the show. The guy who hosted got a credit on his parents' bill, so we used it on Starrcade. And we saw the Goldberg-DDP match the next night. It was the opening of Nitro. Also, yes, it was the Warrior-Hogan match. One match, barely a month of build up, Hogan doesn't job, Warrior never heard from again in WCW.

OK, I'll bite. Why the hell should've Hogan had to job in that match?

Warrior had won the previous encounter, and at least Hogan had been a WCW staple at that point and wasn't there for a quick cash grab like Warrior was.

You forgot the best part: Warrior appearing in a mirror that only Hogan can see!

Another great Halloween Havoc moment: Hulk Hogan murders the Giant.
Well, knocks him off a roof.
Since he was the Giant, he was OK. Even showed up later on in the PPV, IIRC.

So, Booker T is the first candidate to ref Bryan/Orton at HITC. My guesses for the next two are Foley and HBK. The vote will just happen to go for HBK, creating the whole HBK/Triple H dynamic.

Nah. Big Show will be one of them, obviously.
